1. Find a famous artwork that relates to your concept. What is the credit line information for the artwork? Post an image of the artwork with the blog post.
^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^ The Chimera d'Arezzo
There isn't a credit line but the only information is that many fragments were found when soldiers were digging trenches and soon was slightly restored but this is a replica.
2. Describe the artwork... As if you were describing it to someone who couldn't see it. (Be sure to include the Elements of Art and Principles of Art that are utilized in the artwork).
A bronze statue of a lion with jagged spine, a goat's head sticking out in the middle, and a snake for a tail.
3. Discuss why you choose this artwork.
Because I'm familiar with it and it was the first thing that popped in my head.
4. Discuss what you think the artist is trying to convey? Mood, theme, statement... etc.
The sculpture is symbolism of a mountain, or and volcano. At the base, there are venomous snakes, higher towards the middle, are goats, jumping from crag to crag, and then there is the fiery summit, where the lion guards and watches over the mountain.
5. Discuss what you would change about this artwork and why.
Be in color and skin from each animal. And include a flamethrower inside the lion's mouth. Why? For more emphasis.
