1. What did you learn about yourself as an arti s t this semester?
That there are days and night that could instantly change your mindset and in turn against you effort in art and inspiration.
In other words, I've learned that I've had no inspiration this semester.
And that is bad.
2. What did you learn about yourself as a student this semester?
That there are things we struggle in and things we excel in.
And I excelled at passion, but struggled in work process.
No, not even passion. I struggled in everything...
As a student, I failed.
3. What did you gain as an artist from this semester?
New ideas, new concepts, new focus, new admirations, new emotions, and most importantly,
a new perceptive.
4. What project did you find the most challenging and why?
Subtractive sculpture. Takes a lot of time and absurdly unpredictable.
5. What was your favorite art project this semester and why?
Idk, the clay sculpture? Because not only was it a "commission" from someone, but I believe that it benefitted me more than any satisfaction. Or just to please.
6. Additional comments....
I live a life filled of arts.
Drawing, playing a variety of instruments and cooking are my art passions.
Cooking is the type of art that disappears as soon as it is completed.
Playing a song...drawing, painting and other visual arts are the same.
Even memories of the sweet frustrating hard efforts soon fade after
the final admiration ends.
To devote yourself entirely to such a life, made up of fleeting experiences-
-that is truly artful.
